The Sierra Replacement Ground Strap for 2001 - 2017 Honda GL-1800 GoldWing.
This is the same ground strap that is supplied as part of the CB antenna kit. Alot of the Honda GL-1800 GoldWings experiencing CB performance issues are finding this ground strap located in the trunk has cracked or broken, especially in the GoldWing trikes. CB antennas are a ground plane antenna system and must have a sufficient ground to operate correctly. Some of the symptoms of a broken ground strap are crackling or popping in receive, static or garbled sound to others when transmitting, poor transmit range, or the notorious CB ERROR on the display.
